Position Description

In this position you will:

  • The Surgical Technologist work as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other medical support personnel to provide patient care in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Surgical Services department and  Medical Center.
  • There are five operating room locations on the First Hill campus; one on Cherry Hill and one on the Ballard campus.
  • The Surgical Technologist in this role agrees to adhere to all client Medical Center and Perioperative Services’ policies and procedures. 

Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program or documentation of equivalent training
  • Minimum of 5 years of current operating room experience

  • Experience in multiple surgical areas (General, MIS, Vascular, GU, GYN, Gastro, Plastics, ENT, Eye, MaxFac, Ortho, Neuro, Spine, Peds, Thoracic and Transplant) as outlined in the skills/competency checklist required 

  • Will be oriented to departments at all campuses. Surgical Technologists in this float pool will be expected to float to all campuses

  • Requires use of personal automobile and valid current Washington state driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
